Mr. Erez is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Erez Capital Fund with over four decades of international experience in finance, fund raising and acquisitions. He leads the company’s day to day activities, and focuses on its acquisition, development and financing efforts in the United States, Canada and abroad.
Mr. Erez leveraged his economics and real estate management skills during his 3 years tenure as the CEO of El Ad Group Inc. where he supervised the sale of the Plaza Hotel for $575M and the acquisition of two mixed-use projects, totaling ~1.5 million SF, with over 500 residential units, office and retail space. Mr. Erez also served as CEO of El Ad Canada., where he oversaw the growth of the company’s portfolio to $3B in assets. Among the highlights of his initial tenure with El Ad, Mr. Erez successfully negotiated and closed on the MetCap residential portfolio, one of the largest residential acquisitions in Canadian history, valued at $750 billion.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Erez was a partner at Arthur Andersen in Tel Aviv. He also served in various advisory capacities for the Israeli government, supervising inflationary tax legislation for the treasury department and consulting on government subsidies and financial reporting. Mr. Erez received his BA degree in economics and accounting from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. A certified public accountant, Mr. Erez has lectured on advanced accounting issues at his alma mater and is the author of several articles and textbooks.
